At HostingCon 2010, in Austin, Texas, WHIR editor in chief Liam Eagle spent some time in the exhibit hall, talking to some of the companies on hand about their offerings, as well as their plans for HostingCon.
We produced a couple of “WHIR TV at HostingCon” segments from that footage, and those have gone up on the site in the last few weeks. You can check them out here and here.
While we were visiting the exhibit area, we also had an opportunity to meet up with John Kane, VP of corporate services at DNS service provider Afilias and Jeffrey Lyon, president and CEO at DDoS protection company Black Lotus.
The two discussed their recent partnership (a relationship that developed out of a meeting at HostingCon 2009), and the ways in which Afilias’s DNS products are able to support Black Lotus’s technology.
It’s worth mentioning here that Afilias has signed on as one of the title sponsors for the 2011 series of WHIR networking events, as well as for our upcoming September 2010 event in Phoenix, Arizona.
