Following Google’s launch of “Street View” in the UK, it didn’t take long for Britons to begin snooping on their neighbors. Thanks to Google Street View, Silicon.com blogger Natasha Lomas has given us a peek at ten data centers in London and the surrounding area.
Most of the data centers pictured are in London’s East End including GlobalSwitch’s two London facilities, one of which claims the title of Europe’s largest purpose-built carrier-neutral data center. Other data centers in the neighborhood are operated by Telecity and Digital Reality Trust, as well as Telehouse’s Docklands facility, which takes up both sides of the street. Moving to the West End, one can catch a glimpse of Equinix’s LD3 facility on Coronation Road, and its largest one, located close to Heathrow Airport.
