Geting Ready for HostingCon

HostingCon is only two weeks away and after some prodding from the iNet team I just finished my slides. I wanted to take a minute to extol the value of attending both HostingCon and especially the PCI panel. HostingCon takes place in Austin, Texas this year – Austin is known as one of the best party cities in the US. The city is alive…  music sounds better and the beer tastes colder when you are experiencing them in Austin.  Not enough? The HostingCon is loaded with great information for executives from companies that provide managed hosting, shared hosting, colocation and managed services.  This is the second year iNet will be running the conference; I am excited to see what they have prepared this time.  According to the syllabus the speaker line-up is star studded.  You can look forward to hearing from Gartner, Tier1, Digital Reality Trust and Cisco and more.  Last but not least, we have assembled an awesome panel of industry experts for the PCI session: Andy Mahler from Applicure; Rick Wilson from Miva Merchant; Michael Petitti from Trustwave; Mike Auger from Pinnacle Cart;  Curtis R. Curtis from UBL and yours truly representing MaximumASP will be speaking on:

  • PCI in the Cloud
  • Evolving PCI Specifications
  • Shopping Carts for independent and small hosting companies
  • How hosting companies can add value through PCI
  • Our favorite tools for a PCI Toolkit.

HostingCon is going to be amazing this year, this is an incredible opportunity to exchange ideas, network and build valuable relationships with the great minds in our field. I look forward to seeing everyone and hope those who attend come home with new knowledge, stories and friends.
