You’re probably aware by this point that the Parallels Summit 2010 is happening this week at the Fontainebleau hotel in Miami Beach, based on the coverage we’ve already done leading up to the event.
I wanted to let everyone know that, going into the event, we’ve got the whole WHIR editorial team down here in Miami to cover the event, and give you a sense of what to expect from the WHIR and from the event.
Things kick off this afternoon with an opening address “Clouds with a 100% chance of Profits by Partnering with Parallels.” Today is labeled “day 0” on the agenda, so the real meat of the event begins tomorrow morning.
We’ll be posting some coverage of that session, and we’ll get some photos from the exhibit hall up later today as well. We’ll also be shooting footage for WHIR tv that, as has been the case in the past, will be arriving on the site over the course of the next few weeks.
As usual, all our coverage of the event will be available from a feed on the WHIR site. You can click here to view the feed, which will include a feed of tagged posts from Twitter. We’re currently using “Parallels Summit 2010″ for our feed, and I just heard from Parallels that the event is using the #ParallelsSummit hash tag, if you want to add to the discussion. I’ll update this post if our feed changes.
A couple of things to look out for:
I’ll be participating in the keynote presentation Tuesday at 12:20 by Shawn Colo of Demand Media. In the interest of mixing up the format from PowerPoint presentations, I’ll be interviewing Shawn in a sort of “fireside chat” setting. I’m pretty excited about it.
You can watch a bit of a preview of the conversation with this WHIR tv clip.
And, of course, we’ll have a booth in the exhibit area, where you can come by and pick up a copy of our annual Hottest Hosts issue, meet the WHIR sales team and offer some conference feedback to the WHIR tv cameras.
That’s it for now. Keep an eye on our Parallels Summit 2010 content feed for more stuff coming up soon.
