Come Out to our Seattle Networking Event Thursday

We’re wrapping up our 2009 WHIR networking events schedule this week with what promises to be a great time in Seattle.

(If you’d rather cut right to the chase and sign up for the event, you can follow this link right to the event signup page.)

The series, which has been very successful up to this point (owing largely to the support of some awesome sponsors and a very big number of very cool attendees) has taken us from home base in Toronto, to San Francisco, Dallas, Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Washington DC and now Seattle.

Thursday’s event will run from 7:00 until 10:00 at the very slick-looking lounge Ibiza, which is located at 528 2nd Ave, in Seattle (there’s a map, and a few more details, on the RSVP page).

As always, drinks and food will be free. And as always, this is thanks to the generous support of our sponsors, RatePoint (www.ratepoint.com), eNom (www.enom.com), OpenSRS (www.opensrs.com), Parallels (www.parallels.com), Nimsoft (www.nimsoft.com) and Microsoft (www.microsoft.com).

If you’re in the neighborhood, and you’re on the fence about attending, I’d like to point out two things to you (beyond the more or less guaranteed good time).

First, the quality of attendance at these events has been excellent. And without exaggeration, every bit of feedback I have received from people attending the events has been about the quality of the contact they’ve been making with folks who hold significant roles at the companies they represent. More than a few people (not including our sponsors) have made a point of travelling to a few of the events because of the quality of the contacts they’ve made.

Secondly, our sponsors are giving away some awesome prizes:

eNom is giving away a $100 Amazon gift certificate; OpenSRS is giving away an OpenSRS prize pack; Parallels is giving away a Flip video camera; Nimsoft is giving away an iPod Nano; Microsoft is giving away a copy of Windows 7 Ultimate; and RatePoint will be giving away a Nook e-book reader.

Sign up as soon as you can (which, technically speaking, is right now) you can do so by going to the event’s RSVP page, which I’ll link here one more time. It’s more than likely going to fill up in the next day or so, and you don’t want to miss out.

See you on Thursday.

And, by the way, if you’ve come out to any of our WHIR networking events in 2009, thank you very much. It has been great.
