We are pleased to announce the addition of Speed Networking to our WHIR Networking Events in North America in 2013. We have made it incredibly easy and painless for you to meet & network with 10-15 new people in 1 hour. How many times do you attend a great event but wish you met more people? Or you ended up talking to one person the whole time?
Don’t be fooled. This isn’t your typical speed-anything. There are no musical chairs, no gong and no awkwardness. No, we’ll be using an service called Cnvrge and the miracle of text messaging. Cnvrge will make intros for you – like the world’s greatest party host.
If you are a seasoned WHIR Networking Event attendee or a newcomer you will be able to Speed Network easily at any of our North American Events.
How to participate
- Before you arrive: save this number to your phone for networking at the event (347) 708-3609
- When you arrive: check in via SMS (so have your phone charged and ready). Send a text with your First Name & Last initial to (347) 708-3609 and follow instructions. You’ll get a text telling you who to meet next, and where in the room to meet them. 8 minutes later, you’ll get another text. Repeat.
- How to opt-out: Text “OUT” to quit or take a break.
- How to opt-in during the event: Text “IN” to jump back in on the next round.
