XXXISP: A Strong Customer Base Built Through Referrals

Reference | in | by theWHIR.com

Formed in April 1998, when two friends decided to get out of the service industry and start their own Internet business, XXXISP caters to up-and-comers in the adult Web industry. Kevin Liang and Tony Chu have been successful in their pursuits, because they understand the needs of inexperienced adult webmasters.

n

“We started our own adult sites at first, and the business grew rapidly,” says Kevin Liang, co-founder of the company. “ We had to shop for some dedicated servers and we started thinking about web hosting since we already knew most of the details of maintaining the service,” he says.

n

The two men started providing virtual hosting, however, requests for dedicated servers increased, and the business grew. A private company with no borrowed capital or investment funds, XXXISP was built on its revenue and reputation. Business continued to grow, and Liang and Chu were able to add staff and expand their services. Building a solid family of very qualified, committed team members, XXXISP implemented a performance-based incentive system, to encourage stability within the staff.

n

Today, customers enjoy the fruits of XXXISP’s staff appreciation when they call upon customer or technical service crews.

n

“For new webmasters, we have a great team from technical to web design which can help the new webmasters get started,” says Liang. “We have been in the business long enough to work with all aspects of an adult website.”

n

“It’s customer service 101,” says Thomas Chang, Senior Manager of XXXISP. “We often deal with very inexperienced customers, so we sort of take their hands educate them on the entire process,” he says.

n

John Keating, owner of fetishshemale.com supports this statement, describing the services he received from XXXISP when he signed on with them in 1999.

n

“At the time I knew next to nothing about running or building a site,” says Keating. “Kevin really went out of his way to help me get started. He pretty much emailed me everything I needed to know and then worked with me until I had it all down.”

n

Since then fetishfemale.com has grown from a small phone sex campaign to an $80,000 members site. Keating has experienced very little downtime and few technical problems. The few problems that the site has encountered have been solved expediently.

n

Keating tells of an incident where his site was listed on The Hun–a link list that receives more than 1.3 unique visitors a day:

n

“I had over 100,000 hits to the server in 24 hours with no problems at all,” he says. “XXXISP gets my highest recommendation.”

n

Not every webmaster approaches a host at the ground level. But XXXISP’s OC12 backbone and local ISP will satisfy even the most experienced webmaster’s needs. The company has servers in San Hose, Miami, New York, and Vancouver, Canada, leasing Tier 1 space from RSL, AT&T, Rackspace, and eNet.

n

“Network-wise we do collocation and dedicated. We provide the webmaster, graphic designer, and programmer here–a comprehensive back-end solution,” says Chang.

n

“Our customer base is made through referrals. We have a strong foundation and we’re always working to maintain our solid reputation.”
