Unlimited Web Hosting: Fact or Fiction

You’ve seen the advertisements; a number of web hosting companies are using the term “unlimited” in order to attract potential customers to try their offers. As the term implies, anyone could easily get lured thinking that you can enjoy an unrestrained type of web hosting service.nFor individuals that are not knowledgeable in this field, you can easily assume that opting for an unlimited web hosting service could mean that everything will be all set and ready and that no problems with regards to your service will exist in the future. And then comes, the most important question: Does unlimited web hosting a fact or just some kind of promotional campaign?nOffering an unlimited web hosting service could be considered as an overstatement. Web host companies have server restrictions when it comes to bandwidth and disk space. They cannot offer something that goes beyond their capacity and these size restrictions are the “limits”. So once this allowed size has reached its limit there is a possibility that problems might occur. As a prospective client, it is your duty to protect yourself from such type of promotional campaigns. Do this by conducting your own research prior to signing up for a service plan.

Yes, there are many web hosts in markets who use such terms to attract customers. AFAIK, no individual requires unlimited disk space unless and until there are many large files. Even if they are large and crucial, every individual is ready to pay for what they host. So, see to it that you do not get involved in unlimited keywords. Rather, perform a check on the web host and it’s working. One more term being used is “cloud servers” which actually is a gimmick in web hosting.
