ARTICLE CATEGORIES

Any adult web developer grasps the significance of reusability of source code as an indispensable tool to save time and efforts while implementing an application on a particular Operating System (OS). In fact, adult web developer around the world tend to use large volume of re-usable code all bundled up into a depository of libraries and/ or classes, called an application framework.

An application framework, in fact, acts as a semi-complete application that’s reused by adult website developers to develop cost effective and quality oriented customized applications. To enumerate, an application framework bestows the following advantages to any adult website application development project:

    * Modularity as framework encapsulates sensitive implementation details behind reliable user interfaces that in turn makes it easier for adult website developers to comprehend and maintain any software application;

    * Reusability as framework clubs generic components representing common activities in any software development project, which in turn benefits active adult developers in terms of saving prior efforts, increasing productivity and superior interoperable software products development.

    * Extensibility as framework provides hook methods that allow an application to extend its interfaces for development of customized new applications.

    * Inversion of control as framework characterizes a run-time architecture that allows it to determine the specific methods set to use for a particular application in response to external events.

While use of frameworks considerably slashes down development effort and enhances software quality, it has its own set of issues that may challenge its benefits.

    * Development of framework is a complex task often limited to expert adult web developers.

    * Learning curve as learning an application framework invites significant efforts and adult web developers typically undergo rigorous training and mentoring before they are able to use an application framework effectively.

    * Integration with other frameworks of earlier generation may present difficulty.

    * Absence of any established standards for semantics and characteristics among application frameworks make it difficult to ensure true interoperability between applications belonging to diverse domains.

October 2009 - Web Hosting's All Star Team
This has been, for us, one of the most interesting, exciting and challenging build-ups to an issue of the magazine yet, Web Hosting's All Star Team. The balloting process was our first experiment with a kind of user participation we're planning to do a lot more with in the months to come. We had thousands of ballots submitted, with hundreds of write-in suggestions and a demonstration of user engagement that has us feeling super positive about the project.

July 2009 - What am I Worth?
One of the interesting luxuries of working on a project like the printed WHIR magazine is that it allows us to play with things like our point of view from one issue to the next. In recent months we've been giving added attention to the kind of practical and applicable advice aimed at smaller hosts and resellers. This issue carries on with that point of view, asking, in our cover story, "what am I worth?" It's a complicated question without a clear-cut answer.

May 2009 - The Blueprint for a Small Web Host
I was a little surprised by how difficult it became to see this idea through. We set out to assemble a blueprint for a small hosting business, but butted up pretty quickly against the general impossibility of covering all the territory that was out there to be covered. The basic constraints of a printed magazine, and the less-than-infinite amount of time we had available forced us to face the fact that we could never produce an exhaustive guide to starting a hosting company.
